CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) is a form of LA (Linoleic Acid). As an Essential Fatty Acid (EFA), CLA is an Omega-6 possessing the properties of other good fats. Like other EFAs, CLA is scientifically known as an acid because of the positively charged hydrogen at the tail of the fat chain. However, it is not harmful. Its remaining structure is mostly unsaturated – not saturated with hydrogen – giving it the ability to “soak up” harmful acids.

As these acids are assimilated by CLA, the body can stop creating and storing fat to buffer the acid.
