Because the gastrointestinal system can too easily become overrun with positively charged acids, cleansing and alkalizing becomes necessary. Magnesium Oxide and Sodium Carbonate are negatively charged and very alkaline. Thus, they can help soak up harmful acids found throughout the digestive system.
